Cultural programs expand with theater initiatives in Uruguay and Argentina
Cultural initiatives are expanding in the Southern Cone, with new theatrical programming in Uruguay and an acting masterclass in Argentina.
In Salto, Uruguay, the Tocó Teatro program—a collaboration between the Universidad de la República, the National Institute of Performing Arts (INAE), and local theater groups—has expanded its reach. Following a successful event at the Aula Magna that attracted both university and secondary students, the program will continue offering free tickets to university students through October. Upcoming performances include ‘No te cases ni te embarques’ by La Galera, ‘Confesiones de un poeta’ by Sintapujos, and ‘El Escape’ by Le Varieté.
In Mendoza, Argentina, renowned actor Gabriel Goity will host an exclusive acting masterclass at the Espacio Cultural Julio Le Parc on October 12. The conversational session is designed for actors, students, and audiovisual filmmakers to learn about character construction and professional experience. The event offers digital certificates of participation and has limited capacity.
