Cultural projects launch in Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul

Various cultural projects are expanding across the Brazilian states of Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul, focusing on regional identity and artistic exchange.

In Mato Grosso, the ‘Águas Culturais – Talentos do Cerrado em Cena’ project is conducting a series of activities in the Vale do Araguaia region. The program includes circus performances, workshops, and cultural showcases in indigenous villages, such as the Hawalora, Itxalá, and Majtyri communities. The initiative features artists from Mato Grosso and Goiás, offering activities ranging from magic and theater to ancestral knowledge circles.

In Mato Grosso do Sul, the duo Vozmecê is launching the ‘Tropicapolca – Fronteiras e Divisas’ tour. The tour includes a day of free activities in Nova Andradina at the Federal Institute of Mato Grosso do Sul (IFMS). The program features workshops on music production, regional singing, Chamamé dance, and border instruments, alongside documentary screenings and live musical performances aimed at exploring the cultural influences of the border regions.
