Cultural storytelling events scheduled in Tijuana and Cuautla

The Tijuana City Council has announced a series of nocturnal tours titled ‘Historias y Leyendas de Casa de la Cultura Tijuana’. These tours aim to connect the public with the city's historical heritage through oral tradition and storytelling. The events will take place on October 23, 24, and 30, as well as November 6 and 7, 2026. Participants will learn about the history of the building, which formerly served as the Álvaro Obregón primary school, and hear local legends.

In Cuautla, Morelos, the Oral Storytelling Workshop will present ‘Voces que recuerdan, historias que viven’ at the Foro del Andén. Scheduled for October 29, the performance features popular legends, community anecdotes, and suspenseful tales intended to foster family interaction and preserve regional myths. This event is part of the ‘Morelos en Morelos’ state program and is supported by the System of Supports for Creation and Cultural Projects (SACPC).
