Cultural theater productions announced in Peru and Argentina
The Tránsito Asociación Cultural is celebrating its 20th anniversary with the premiere of ‘Queríamos cambiarlo todo’ at the Teatro Ricardo Blume in Peru. Directed by Paloma Carpio Valdeavellano, the documentary-style production reviews the last 25 years of Peruvian political and social history through the lens of the group’s collective memory and individual stories.
The production emphasizes accessibility, with features for neurodivergent audiences and those with hearing impairments. Additional sensory and audio-descriptive resources for visually impaired attendees will be available for specific performances. The project was supported by CAPAZ and won the PUCP Annual Creation Projects Contest (CAP 2025).
In Argentina, actor Gustavo Garzón will perform ‘Un hombre solo es demasiado para un hombre solo’ at Teatro Gidi in Lincoln on October 16. Co-starring Victoria Baldomir, the play follows a 70-year-old retired man facing a creative crisis. The production has previously received two ACE Award nominations for best male lead in alternative theater and best author.
