Cultural traditions celebrated in Olmo di Piano and Sassari

The Olmo di Piano community held its third annual Festa del Grano, an event focused on the relationship between the local territory and its agricultural roots. The celebration included a conference regarding the historical and economic significance of grain in the region and featured young professionals, such as baker Vincenzo Vincenzi, representing traditional crafts. Additionally, artist Francesco Brogno unveiled a new mural in the village depicting historical labor, including a grain harvester and a blacksmith, to serve as a new element of collective local memory.

In Sassari, the Gremio degli Ortolani is preparing to celebrate the Madonna di Valverde on September 8. The festivities will include a traditional procession through the historic center, accompanied by drums and the Banda Città di Sennori, leading to a solemn mass at the Church of San Francesco. The event honors the historical origins of the guild, which has deep roots in the Valverde area dating back to the 16th century.
