Cultural updates: Máximo Pradera book launch and Ibero-American audiovisual report

Journalist Máximo Pradera will present his autobiographical book, ‘Memorias de un nieto confuso’, on October 7 at the Casal Jove in Puerto de Sagunto. The work explores his complex family lineage, which includes descendants of both Falange founders and their political adversaries, serving as a reflection of the ideological tensions in contemporary Spain.

Separately, EGEDA and FIPCA are set to present the annual ‘Ibero-American Audiovisual Panorama’ report during the Iberseries & Platino Industria event in Madrid on October 1. The report analyzes industry trends, including the impact of AI and vertical formats. It highlights a significant recovery in Ibero-American cinema attendance, rising from 14.5 million viewers in 2021 to over 40 million projected for 2024 and 2025. Key content genres identified include news programs (24%), fiction (23%), and entertainment (20%).
