Cultural updates: Némagyerek band debut and sci-fi series review

The Hungarian alternative music scene sees the emergence of the band Némagyerek. Formed by long-time friends, the group released a sci-fi inspired music video for their song ‘Némagyerek’, which explores themes of anger and time travel. The band, featuring members István Simon, Benedek Nagy, Zsolt Király, Máté Tarjányi, Róbert Kiss, and Soma Józsa, draws musical influence from acts such as Vad Fruttik, Esti Kornél, and Placebo.

In television, the sci-fi series ‘The Expanse’ is highlighted for its scientific realism and dramatic depth. Spanning six seasons, the space opera depicts a future where humanity inhabits the solar system, characterized by a cold war between Earth and Mars and social inequality among asteroid belt inhabitants. The production is noted for its organic world-building, using practical details to explain futuristic technology without heavy exposition.
