Cultural updates: theatrical performance in Ludźmierz and church restoration in Końskie

In Ludźmierz, the Towarzystwo Dramatyczne in Nowy Sącz performed Aleksander Fredro’s play ‘Pan Jowialski’ at the Institute of the Intangible Heritage of Carpathian Peoples. The production, directed by Janusz Michalik, featured actors Mieczysław Filipczyk and Monika Ślepiak in the lead roles.

Meanwhile, conservation work has been completed on the northern elevation and sacristy of the St. Nicholas Collegiate Church in Końskie. The project, which cost nearly 1 million PLN, involved removing cement joints and cleaning sandstone blocks to reveal the original stone. Funding was provided by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the Provincial Office for the Protection of Monuments in Kielce, and parish donations. Future works are planned for the church tower and pediment.
