Cultural venues in Buenos Aires and Madrid host diverse theatrical events
Cultural venues in Buenos Aires and Madrid are seeing significant activity through diverse theatrical and musical offerings. In Buenos Aires, the Centro Asturiano is preparing to host the V Congreso de Asturianía on October 7 and 8, bringing together representatives from around the world at its historic Solís 475 building.
The institution’s theater has seen increased popularity, hosting various events including Candlelight concerts, opera, and period dances inspired by the Regency style of the series ‘Bridgerton’. Pilar Simón, president of the Centro Asturiano de Buenos Aires, noted that the venue is now frequently utilized for these popular themed dances.
In Madrid, the musical ‘El Alma al aire’ is set to premiere at the Teatro Coliseum on October 1. Based on the discography of Alejandro Sanz, the production is a fictional story rather than a traditional biopic. Dramaturg Álvaro Tato described the project as an attempt to capture the essence of the artist’s music through a narrative set in a southern fishing village.
