Culturale tourism agency launches audit amid fraud allegations

The Culturale tourism agency, based in Santa Rita do Sapucaí and other cities in southern Minas Gerais, has announced a 90-day administrative audit following numerous complaints from clients regarding canceled trips and missing refunds.

Customers report that travel packages for destinations such as Porto de Galinhas, Balneário Camboriú, and Portugal were canceled shortly before scheduled departure dates. Many victims claim they never received vouchers for flights or accommodations despite having paid for the packages, some in full months in advance. Some clients reported individual losses ranging from R$ 2,777 to R$ 10,000.

Affected individuals have filed police reports for fraud. Legal representation for the clients suggests that the agency may have accepted payments without making the necessary reservations. While clients report that the agency's physical location has closed and communication has ceased, the company has attributed the issues to “intercurrences.”
