Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat honors Prabha Khaitan in Kolkata

Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat attended an ‘Ek Mulakat’ session in Kolkata to honor the legacy of the late Prabha Khaitan. The event brought together various artists, writers, and thinkers to celebrate Khaitan’s contributions to social awareness and cultural preservation.

During the session, Shekhawat praised the Prabha Khaitan Foundation for its role in nurturing India’s cultural and literary heritage. He described the foundation as an important organization that plays a vital role in protecting the nation’s cultural identity. The gathering included notable figures such as singer Usha Uthup, dancer Mamata Shankar, Baul maestro Pt. Purna Das Baul, and classical musician Tejendra Narayan Majumdar, alongside foundation trustee Sundeep Bhutoria.
