CultureCon 2026 celebrates Black creativity in Brooklyn

CultureCon 2026 took place at the Brooklyn Navy Yard under the theme ‘Museum of Us,’ drawing approximately 12,000 attendees to celebrate Black creativity, entrepreneurship, and community. The event, which grew from founder and CEO Imani Ellis’s Harlem apartment to a large-scale festival, featured a lineup of prominent cultural figures including Michael B. Jordan, John Legend, Mahershala Ali, and Colin Kaepernick.

During the event, Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani joined Ellis for a fireside conversation, praising the platform for providing essential connection points for artists and entrepreneurs in New York City. Attendees used the space to engage with cultural leaders and explore themes of resilience and historical identity through fashion and art.
