Cumberland Council Schedules Roadworks on Tarn Road and Briar Bank

The Cumberland Council has announced two separate roadwork projects in the county. On Tarn Road in Brampton (CA8 1HN), United Utilities Water will lift the lid on a manhole, photograph and clean the asset. The work is scheduled for 30 July 2026, running from 09:30 to 15:30, and is expected to cause traffic delays.

A second project on Briar Bank near Simonscales Lane (CA13 9DJ) involves installing an external water meter and a boundary box at a depth of up to 1.5 m, with additional excavation required. This work is set for 21–23 July 2026, also managed by United Utilities Water, and will likely result in long‑duration delays.
