Cumbria food producers named Great British Food Awards finalists

Food and drink producers from Cumbria have been named as finalists in the Great British Food Awards 2026. The shortlist, announced on August 11, highlights several regional businesses.

Hawkshead Relish has secured four shortlistings: Tomato & Chilli Pasta Sauce and Sun-Dried Tomato and Herb Pasta Sauce in the Cooking Kits & Cooking Sauces category, Ultimate Festive Chutney for Savoury Preserves, and Christmas Ketchup in the Table Sauce Condiments category. This follows a recent two-star award for the company’s Posh Pickle Sauce at the Great Taste Awards.

The Lake District Tea Co. has also been recognized, with its Kendal Mint Brew shortlisted in the tea category. This follows the product's previous recognition at the Guild of Fine Food Great Taste Awards.
