Cunard to transfer Queen Anne ship to P&O Cruises in 2029
The British luxury cruise line Cunard will transfer its newest vessel, the Queen Anne, to P&O Cruises in 2029. The move was announced by the Carnival Corporation, which owns both cruise brands.
As part of the transition, the ship—which entered service in 2024 and carries approximately 3,000 passengers—will undergo a comprehensive redesign and be renamed. The new name has not yet been disclosed. Under P&O Cruises, the vessel is expected to introduce a new ship class to expand the brand's offerings.
Carnival Corporation stated that the decision aims to better meet passenger demand and sharpen the distinct profiles of both brands. While the departure of the Queen Anne, Cunard's largest and newest ship, reduces its 'Queens' fleet from four to three, the corporation emphasized its continued commitment to the Cunard brand and its future.
