Cunardo Folklore Festival Rebranded as “Mosaico” to Tour Varese Province
The International Folklore Festival of Cunardo has been renamed “Mosaico” and expanded to become a travelling program across the entire province of Varese. The change, announced in Ville Ponti, aims to unite diverse cultural traditions from more than forty nations under a single artistic “mosaic”.
The festival, now part of the province’s centennial celebrations, will stage performances at sites such as Villa Recalcati, the Chiostro di Voltorre, the Monastery of Cairate, the Eremo di Santa Caterina del Sasso and the Badia di San Gemolo. International groups slated to appear include India’s Mehak Diyan Tandan, Lithuania’s Aukštaičiai, Mexico, Morocco’s Ballet Liziba Buala (with Congolese artists), and Paraguay’s República Saraki. Province President Marco Magrini highlighted the event’s role in showcasing both local and global folk traditions.
