Cuneo city councilor Monica Pellegrino dies at 37

Monica Pellegrino, a 37-year-old city councilor for Cuneo, has passed away following an illness. Pellegrino was elected to the city council in 2022 as part of the ‘Centro per Cuneo’ list.

In addition to her local political role, she served as the Director of General and Administrative Services at the Italian Ministry of Education starting in 2023. A law graduate, her professional background also included experience in the banking sector at Cassa di Risparmio di Savigliano and Banca d’Alba.

Cuneo Mayor Patrizia Manassero praised Pellegrino’s dedication to the territory and her consistent presence in council sessions and social activities, noting her tenacity in fulfilling her duties despite her health struggles. Funeral services are scheduled to take place in Borgo San Giuseppe and Magliano Alpi.
