Cuneo Province to hold elections on November 29

The Province of Cuneo has scheduled elections for its president and its 12-member provincial council for Sunday, November 29. The decree for the election was signed by President Luca Robaldo on October 19.

These are second-level elections conducted under Law 56/2014, meaning the electorate consists of mayors and municipal councilors from the province's municipalities rather than the general public. Voting for the provincial council will be weighted based on the demographic category of each administrator's respective municipality.

Candidates for the presidency must secure signatures from at least 15% of eligible voters. Lists for the provincial council must include between 6 and 12 candidates and be signed by at least 5% of eligible voters. Candidacy submissions will take place on November 8 and 9 at the provincial electoral office in Cuneo. Voting will occur from 8:00 to 20:00 at the Province's Meeting Center, with the vote count scheduled to begin on Monday, November 30.
