Cuneo to Open New Esseci Cultural Center and Library in September

The city of Cuneo will open the new Esseci cultural pole, which will house the municipal library, at the beginning of autumn. Festivities are scheduled from 26 to 29 September 2026, featuring a parade called “Lettori in cammino” that symbolically moves readers from the old library site to the new building on Via Cacciatori delle Alpi. Organisers highlight the centre’s modern spaces for reading, study, and community events, aiming to preserve the sentimental value of the former library while expanding its role as an active cultural hub.

Local residents shared memories of the former library, recalling personal milestones such as writing theses, meeting partners, and inter‑generational visits. The new facility will include quiet reading rooms, meeting areas, and programmes that bring authors and readers together, continuing the tradition of community engagement in Cuneo.
