CUNY director accused of sexual assault and harassment in lawsuit
A lawsuit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court accuses Krafins Valcin, a senior director of academic collaboration technology at the City University of New York (CUNY), of sexual assault and harassment.
The complaint alleges that on December 2, 2025, Valcin assaulted a 34-year-old IT senior associate following an office happy hour in Manhattan. The accuser, whose name is withheld for privacy, stated she agreed to carpool with Valcin to New Jersey because they both reside there. During the drive, Valcin allegedly made inappropriate sexual comments and rubbed the woman’s thigh toward her genitals.
The lawsuit further claims that upon arriving at a train station in Newark, Valcin blocked the woman’s vehicle with his own. He allegedly opened her car door and forced her hand onto his erect penis before exposing himself. While the woman reported the incident to Newark police, the case was reportedly dropped due to a lack of video evidence.
