Cupra Formentor eHybrid long‑term fuel consumption test shows low fuel use

A Czech automotive test evaluated the long‑term fuel consumption of the Cupra Formentor eHybrid plug‑in hybrid. The model is offered with two eHybrid powertrains: a 150 kW (204 hp) version and a sport‑tuned VZ 200 kW (272 hp) version, both equipped with a 20 kWh usable battery that provides an electric range of about 100 km. During a 210‑km drive that combined electric‑only and mixed‑mode operation, the test recorded a combined fuel consumption of 1.4 L/100 km. In pure electric mode the fuel use dropped to 0.38 L/100 km, while the electric energy consumption was 19–21 kWh/100 km. The report notes that the sport mode engages the gasoline engine, raising fuel use, but overall the plug‑in hybrid delivers very low fuel consumption compared with conventional models.
