Cupra Formentor eHybrid plug-in hybrid review
The Cupra Formentor, the flagship model of the high-performance sub-brand of Spanish manufacturer SEAT, has received a review of its plug-in hybrid eHybrid variant. The eHybrid model is available in two power outputs, with the higher-end version producing 272bhp and the tested version producing 204bhp.
The vehicle offers up to 77 miles of electric-only driving and features DC rapid charge functionality, capable of increasing the battery from 10% to 80% in less than 30 minutes. When operating on the engine alone after battery depletion, the car recorded fuel efficiency in the mid-40s mpg. With CO2 emissions of 35g/km and a 7% Benefit-in-Kind (BIK) rate, the model is positioned to appeal to company car users.
