Cupra Kiro has confirmed that Spanish driver Pepe Marti will remain with the team for the 2026/27 ABB FIA Formula E season, marking the beginning of the series’ Gen4 era. Marti, 21, finished his debut season as the championship’s top-placed rookie with 66 points.
During his rookie campaign, Marti achieved several milestones, including becoming the first Spanish driver to reach a Formula E podium. His notable performances included a podium in Monaco and a second-place finish in Sanya, China. Managed by Fernando Alonso’s A14 development program, Marti is expected to lead the team’s upcoming project.
Team Principal Russell O’Hagan stated that the decision to retain Marti was straightforward due to the driver exceeding expectations through his talent, work ethic, and maturity. Pre-season testing for the 2026/27 campaign is scheduled for November 16-20 in Jarama, Spain.
