Cupra Raval exceeds 50,000 orders amid new Abt tuning edition
Cupra has reported that its new electric urban model, the Cupra Raval, has surpassed 50,000 orders, making it the most successful launch in the brand's history. The order volume is more than double the initial forecast. Approximately 15,000 units have already been sold across Europe, with the company aiming to exceed 40,000 deliveries this year and reach 100,000 units in 2027.
The vehicle is manufactured at the Martorell plant in Barcelona. CEO Markus Haupt noted that the model represents a major industrial and commercial milestone following years of investment to electrify the facility.
Additionally, German tuning firm Abt has introduced a performance-focused visual update for the model, designated as the ‘VZ Abt’ trim. This package includes handcrafted aesthetic changes such as front and rear splitters, side skirts, a ‘cat ear’ rear spoiler, and 19-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels. While the exterior is enhanced, the mechanical specifications remain consistent with the standard VZ, featuring a 221bhp electric motor and a 52kWh battery.
