Curaçao launches sustainable tourism program at Europe Trade Symposium
Curaçao recently hosted the Europe Trade Symposium (ETS) to strengthen ties with the European travel industry. Organized by the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB), the Curaçao Hospitality & Tourism Association (CHATA), and Curaçao Airport Partners (CAP), the event brought together European tour operators, travel agents, and airlines to discuss sector developments and commercial partnerships.
During the symposium, participants were briefed on new tourism projects, including TUI BLUE Curaçao, The Pyrmont Curaçao, and One Mambo. The event also featured a Business Marketplace to facilitate direct engagement between European partners and local tourism entrepreneurs.
A central highlight of the symposium was the launch of ‘Travel With Love,’ a new initiative by the CTB designed to promote conscious tourism. The program aims to encourage visitors to contribute positively to the island through three pillars: ‘Carry The Love,’ ‘Connect With Love,’ and ‘Volunteer With Love.’ These components focus on sustainable travel, supporting local businesses, engaging with residents, and participating in volunteer efforts to ensure tourism provides long-term value to the island’s nature, culture, and community.
