Curanilahue authorities execute land eviction in Arauco

Authorities in the Arauco Province conducted an eviction operation at the Villa Edén settlement, located at Fundo La Colcha in the commune of Curanilahue. The action was carried out to comply with a judicial order from the court to restore land to a private owner.

The operation was coordinated between the Provincial Presidential Delegation and the Municipality of Curanilahue, with Carabineros de Chile responsible for executing the order. Heavy machinery, including excavators and backhoes, was used to demolish wooden structures and clear vegetation from the site. According to the Provincial Presidential Delegation, no inhabited dwellings were present at the time the work began.
