Curatorial consultancy grows as art becomes a key asset for collectors

Curatorial consultancy is seeing increased demand from high-end real estate developments and private collectors seeking to organize, document, and add value to their art collections. This specialized service includes cataloging, provenance research, inventory management, and coordinating how artworks interact with architecture, lighting, and space.

According to the Art & Finance Report 2025 by Deloitte Private and ArtTactic, the involvement of wealth managers offering art-related services rose from approximately 25% in 2011 to 51% in 2025. Furthermore, 87% of surveyed professionals cited growing client demand for integrated approaches as a reason for incorporating these services.

In Brazil, market activity among collectors is particularly high. A study by Art Basel and UBS found that 72% of high-net-worth Brazilian collectors surveyed intended to acquire new artworks within the following 12 months, the highest percentage among the ten markets studied.
