Cureverse passes technical evaluation for KOSDAQ listing
Cureverse, a South Korean drug development company, has passed technical evaluation assessments to pursue a KOSDAQ listing. The company received ‘A’ grades from both eCredible and NICE Evaluation Information, meeting the requirements for a technology-based special listing.
Cureverse, which was established based on research from the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), is currently co-developing its lead pipeline, CV-01, an oral Alzheimer's disease treatment candidate. The drug was licensed to Italy's Angelini Pharma in a deal valued at up to $370.5 million. Recent Phase 1 clinical trials in South Korea involving 110 participants demonstrated safety and tolerability without serious adverse events.
The company is currently conducting Phase 1b clinical trials in Europe with Angelini Pharma and aims to begin Phase 2 trials for Alzheimer's in South Korea by 2027. Additionally, Cureverse is conducting a pre-IPO investment round of approximately 23 billion won, expected to close in mid-October, to fund further clinical development and its other pipelines, including CV-02 and CV-03.
