Curicó authorities inspect Chinese malls, finding labor and sanitary violations

Authorities in Curicó conducted a large-scale inspection of four Chinese-owned shopping malls in the city center. The operation was coordinated by the Provincial Presidential Delegation and included participation from the PDI, Carabineros, the Ministry of Labor, and health and tax services.

The inspection resulted in four sanitary summaries and seven individuals being reported by the PDI. Officials noted labor violations and reported instances of irregular migration, specifically regarding individuals working in the country after entering through unauthorized crossings. Provincial Presidential Delegate Óscar Águila stated that while some tenants have improved standards, the operation was necessary to ensure compliance with national laws.
