Curicó fire kills at least 4,000 pigs at breeding facility

A major fire destroyed a pavilion at the Soler breeding facility in the Los Niches sector of Curicó, Chile. The blaze, which began around 10:00 PM on Sunday, resulted in the deaths of at least 4,000 pigs.

A second warehouse at the Agrícola Soler Cortina S.A. facility also sustained significant damage. Firefighters from Curicó deployed a large-scale operation to contain the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to other installations. Specialized teams are currently investigating the origin and cause of the fire.
