Curicó Unido targets midfield signing as Primera B winter market closes

Curicó Unido is evaluating a transfer for a central midfielder as the Chilean Primera B winter market approaches its deadline. The club, together with Santiago Wanderers, is one of only two sides that have not yet added players for the second stage of the 2026 Ascenso season.

Head coach Damián Muñoz said the desired player must be fully committed and able to fight for a place, rather than simply filling a roster spot, and noted that economic considerations also play a role. If Curicó finalises a signing, Wanderers would become the sole team without any winter acquisitions.

Curicó Unido is scheduled to play San Luis de Quillota on Saturday at 15:00 in La Granja, a match that forms part of round 17 of the Primera B competition.
