Curitiba begins asphalt recycling works on Estrada do Ganchinho

Infrastructure revitalization works have begun on a 1.2-kilometer stretch of Estrada do Ganchinho in Curitiba, Brazil. The project utilizes asphalt recycling to repair damaged layers and reinforce the pavement structure.

Mayor Eduardo Pimentel inspected the start of the intervention, which spans from Rua Ernesto Luiz Pellanda to the 7201 block. The municipality is investing R$ 2 million into the project, which is part of the PRO Curitiba revitalization program.

Estrada do Ganchinho serves as a vital economic and mobility corridor connecting the Ganchinho neighborhood to the city center and São José dos Pinhais. The works are expected to take approximately ten business days, depending on weather conditions. A second stage of maintenance is scheduled for later this year to extend the improvements toward the limit of São José dos Pinhais.
