Curitiba City Hall implements salary increases for 6,500+ civil servants

The Curitiba City Hall has implemented salary increases for 6,581 civil servants following the 2025 Vertical Growth program. These employees, who met specific requirements for career progression, will receive a 15% salary increase.

This career advancement, which recognizes staff who have attained higher education levels than required upon entry, is expected to impact the municipal payroll by approximately R$ 10 million per month. The affected group represents about 42% of the 15,681 participants in the procedure. Notable sectors seeing high rates of progression include teaching professionals and the Municipal Guard. Following this conclusion, the Personnel Management Secretariat will begin the 2026 Horizontal Growth process.
