Curitiba expands gastronomic and retail offerings in Ecoville and Barigui

Curitiba is seeing significant retail and gastronomic expansion in the Ecoville and Barigui regions.

The Kharina food network is transforming the former Mercadoteca space into its largest unit in the city. Expected to open between November and December, the new location on Rua Paulo Gorski will feature a restaurant, an in-house bakery specializing in natural fermentation and croissants, an emporium, and an expanded kids' space designed for parents to dine while children play safely.

Additionally, the Ítalo Barigui Concept Supermarket is opening with a R$ 50 million investment. The 17,000-square-meter facility includes a specialized concierge service to assist shoppers and, most notably, Curitiba’s first supermarket bakery dedicated entirely to gluten-free production. This facility uses independent equipment and processes to prevent cross-contamination. The project is expected to generate approximately 300 direct jobs.
