Author Fernanda Ávila presented her debut novel *Se Não Me Falha a Memória* at Livraria Arte & Letra in Curitiba on 31 July. The work follows an unnamed narrator reflecting on a passionless marriage, motherhood, solitude and longing, and has been described as a sharply observed, anti‑heroine‑driven story.

On 1 July the State Secretariat for Sustainable Development (Sedest) released the photographic volume *Cores da Natureza do Paraná* at the Museu Oscar Niemeyer bookshop. The book, edited by Sedest with contributions from the Institute Água e Terra and Simepar, showcases 120 images by photojournalist Denis Ferreira Netto, illustrating the state's main ecosystems – Mata Atlântica, Araucária forest, Cerrado, mangroves and more. An accompanying exhibition of fifteen selected photographs was installed in the museum space.

Both events highlight Curitiba's role as a cultural hub for literature and environmental awareness in Brazil.
