Curitiba municipal guard charged with sexual crimes against minors

The Public Ministry of Paraná (MPPR) has filed charges against a 34-year-old Curitiba municipal guard for stalking, sexual harassment, threats, and attempted rape of minors. The investigation details at least six criminal acts committed between July and August against five male victims aged 13 to 17.

According to the prosecution, the suspect used an electric scooter to approach victims in the Alto da Glória, Ahú, and Centro neighborhoods. He reportedly asked for their ages and addresses, offering money in exchange for sexual acts. During some encounters, he allegedly brandished a knife and a firearm, threatening the adolescents by stating he knew their daily routes.

The suspect is currently in preventive detention. He was previously arrested in flagrante for attempted homicide after shooting a victim's stepfather during a confrontation. The MPPR is seeking R$ 50,000 in moral damages for each victim and has indicated that there may be additional victims.
