Curitiba Municipal Guard releases 40th anniversary history book

The Curitiba Municipal Guard is distributing a commemorative book titled ‘Guarda Municipal de Curitiba: 40 anos de história, dedicação e proteção’ to various public institutions. The publication chronicles four decades of the corporation's evolution, including historical anecdotes such as the first firearm seizure by the unit in 1988.

Commander Inspector José Carlos Felipus Costa stated that the book aims to share the history of the institution and the work of multiple generations. The distribution process is being led by the commander and the Municipal Secretary of Social Defense and Transit, Rafael Vianna, to strengthen institutional partnerships and preserve the agency's memory.
