Curitiba project wins Ponto Pet award for pet-friendly square

The Praça Ecológica project has won the first edition of the Ponto Pet – Convivência Sustentável program, organized by the Instituto PremieRpet in Curitiba. The initiative aims to transform Praça Desembargador Acyr Saldanha Loyola into a dedicated space for pets, their owners, and the local community.

The project was selected for its ability to mobilize the community and promote sustainable coexistence between residents and animals. Topography work has already begun, with construction scheduled to start in January 2027. The program, held in partnership with Cidades.co, encourages citizens to lead the transformation of public squares into safer and more welcoming environments for animals and families.
