Curitiba road closures and Volusia County parking restrictions announced

In Curitiba, Brazil, Rua Augusto Stresser in the Hugo Lange neighborhood will undergo a total closure on Tuesday due to essential maintenance on a railway level crossing. The project, a collaboration between Rumo Logística and the Curitiba Municipal Urban Maintenance District (DMU), aims to correct the unevenness between the tracks and the asphalt to improve safety and trafficability. The full closure is scheduled from 8:00 to 20:00, during which time rails will be removed and repositioned. On Wednesday, the closure will become partial, operating under a ‘stop and go’ system for asphalt reconstruction.

In Volusia County, Florida, authorities have implemented temporary parking restrictions for the Labor Day holiday to enhance pedestrian safety. Approximately 125 parking spaces near high-traffic areas, including Sun Splash Park, Frank Rendon Park, and Flagler Avenue Park, are restricted. The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office noted that the measure aims to increase visibility for drivers and protect families moving between parks and the beach during the holiday weekend.
