Currency fluctuations: US Dollar and Euro rise against local currencies

Major reference currencies have shown appreciation against the Moldovan leu and the Romanian leu. In Moldova, the US dollar has surpassed the 18 lei threshold, while the euro is approaching 20.20 lei.

In Romania, the National Bank of Romania (BNR) reported that the euro rose to 5.3495 lei, a slight increase of 0.02%. The US dollar saw a more significant rise, reaching 4.7770 lei, marking a 0.27% appreciation against the leu. Conversely, the Swiss franc saw a marginal decrease to 5.8093 lei. Additionally, the price of gold decreased by approximately 7.88 lei per gram, settling at 617.8007 lei.
