Curry Barker says he will not rush a sequel to hit film Obsession

Filmmaker Curry Barker, one of the breakout directors of this spring, has just completed a record‑grossing movie that studios are eager to capitalize on. One studio has even offered him $10 million to make any project he chooses.

His next film, *Anything But Ghosts*, has already been shot, and he is writing a reboot of the *Texas Chainsaw Massacre* for A24. When asked what comes after, Barker said he is torn between developing an original screenplay and pursuing franchise work.
