Curta! Festival awards winners of its fourth edition

The fourth edition of the Curta! Festival concluded with an awards ceremony held at Estação Claro Gávea in Rio de Janeiro. The event honored winners across several categories, including Produção Canal Curta!, Outras Janelas, Brasiliana, and Porta Curtas, selected from over 160 films and series.

In the Produção Canal Curta! category, the documentary ‘Paraíso’ by Ana Rieper won in the Humanities category, while the series ‘Raiz – Arte Afro-Brasileira’ by Fabiano Maciel won in the Arts category. The Outras Janelas category winner was the feature film ‘Sin Embargo, Uma Utopia’ by Fabiana Parra, which follows maestro Kleber Mazziero in Cuba.

Winners shared more than R$ 170,000 in prizes and audiovisual services. The selection process involved popular voting to determine finalists, followed by a technical jury composed of academics, psychoanalysts, filmmakers, and journalists.
