Curtea Domnească Târgoviște concludes “Vacanță la muzeu” program

The “Vacanță la muzeu” (Vacation at the Museum) educational program, organized by the Dâmbovița County Council through the “Curtea Domnească” Târgoviște National Museum Complex, has concluded. Held from August 3 to August 14, 2026, at the “Curtea Domnească” Monumental Ensemble, the initiative engaged children aged 6 to 14 in various historical and creative activities.

Participants attended ten workshops designed to provide an alternative to digital screen time. Activities included mosaic making, braiding, sculpture, and medieval typography techniques. The program aimed to teach Romanian history and traditions by allowing children to explore themes ranging from prehistory and the Dacian and Roman eras to the medieval period of Vlad Țepeș and the Unification of the Principalities.

As a special highlight of this edition, four participating children were selected to attend the September pre-selections for the television show “Românii au talent” (Romania's Got Talent) on PRO TV.
