Curtis Brown's Son Haze Dies in California Drowning

Former BYU football running back Curtis Brown and his wife Kim are mourning the death of their two‑year‑old son, Haze Brown. Haze drowned in the family pool at the Browns' home in Clovis, California, on July 26, after a family member found him unresponsive and called 911. Emergency responders performed CPR but the child could not be revived and was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

A GoFundMe campaign set up by family friend Chandler Pearson raised more than $85,000 to help cover funeral costs and other expenses. The family, which includes four other children, has received support from former teammates and coaches. Clovis Police Department spokesperson Ty Wood emphasized the importance of adult supervision and CPR training to prevent similar tragedies.
