Curtis Gregory faces disciplinary action after rugby stamp in Wales

Ebbw Vale player Curtis Gregory was issued a straight red card during a Super Rygbi Cymru match against Llandovery following a violent stamping incident. The event occurred near the end of the first half when Gregory deliberately stomped on the knee of an opponent at a breakdown.

While the Llandovery player did not appear to suffer severe physical injuries, the incident has drawn widespread condemnation from fans and journalists. Observers described the act as “absolutely disgusting” and a “vile cheap shot.”

Ebbw Vale managed to win the match 31-15 despite playing with 14 men for the remainder of the game. The Welsh rugby league is currently awaiting the official referee report to initiate a disciplinary hearing, where Gregory could face a significant suspension.
