Curtis Jackson to executive produce “Payday” video game TV series

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and his G-Unit Film & Television banner have joined the live-action television adaptation of the video game franchise “Payday” as executive producers. The project is a collaboration between Starbreeze Entertainment and VICE Studios.

The series aims to expand the “Payday” brand into a high-energy heist franchise centered on themes of betrayal, conspiracy, and action. The video game franchise, developed by Overkill Software, has reached a community of over 50 million players since its 2011 launch.

While a showrunner, writer, and distribution platform have not yet been announced, the partnership is part of Starbreeze’s strategy to grow the “Payday” intellectual property into a global entertainment universe.
