Curve DAO appoints yRisk to manage crvUSD and Llamalend risk
Curve DAO has appointed yRisk as its new risk-management provider for the crvUSD stablecoin and the Llamalend lending protocol. The decision, approved by token holders on September 2, replaces LlamaRisk, which concluded its engagement early.
yRisk, led by two developers associated with Yearn and Resupply, will receive a 12-month compensation package consisting of 125,000 frxUSD and 568,181 CRV. The mandate covers a broad scope of responsibilities, including monitoring collateral, liquidity, oracle design, and market parameters, as well as recommending debt ceilings and PegKeeper limits.
Notably, the yRisk team members are primary developers of Resupply, a protocol that suffered a $9.6 million exploit in 2025 due to a donation attack. While the exploit was not explicitly detailed in the Curve proposal or comparative reviews, the appointment highlights a shift in Curve's risk operations as it expands Llamalend v2 to support a wider range of assets and collateral types.
