Curvelo inaugurates new health unit in São José da Lagoa

The municipality of Curvelo has inaugurated a new Basic Health Unit (UBS) in São José da Lagoa, named ESF Irilda Mendes Machado Nascimento. The project involved a total investment of approximately R$ 1.74 million, with the majority funded by the municipality and a portion provided through a Vale reparation agreement.

The new facility includes two Family Health Strategy teams and is designed to serve approximately 5,000 users. The unit aims to improve access to primary care, focusing on disease prevention, diagnosis, and continuous treatment through advanced technology and specialized infrastructure.
