Cusco authorities clear illegal parking in city centre
On 30 July 2026, the Municipal Provincial of Cusco coordinated a large‑scale operation with the districts of San Jerónimo and Wanchaq, the National Police of Peru and the traffic unit to remove vehicles parked illegally in designated rigid zones. The crackdown focused on Tito Condemayta Avenue, Micaela Bastidas Avenue and the surrounding area of Túpac Amaru Plaza, where dozens of drivers were fined and their cars towed by municipal cranes to an official depot.
Authorities said the inspections will continue unpredictably over the coming weeks to ensure road safety, keep pedestrian spaces clear and improve urban traffic flow in Cusco.
