Custom 3D figurine services launch in Japan for individuals and organizations
New services for creating custom 3D figurines from photos and illustrations are launching in Japan.
STUDIO ARC has introduced ‘ARC me.’, a service that transforms commemorative or portrait photographs into palm-sized 3D figures. Available in two styles—‘REAL’ for lifelike accuracy and ‘CUTE’ for a stylized, anime-like appearance—the service caters to milestones such as coming-of-age ceremonies, Shichi-Go-San, and graduations. The figures are available in various sizes, including 4cm, 6cm, and 8cm.
Separately, Image Magic Inc. is launching ‘Mascot Figure’ through its 3DME service on October 5, 2026. This service allows corporations, local governments, and organizations to turn mascot characters into 3D figures starting from a single unit. By using photos of illustrations or mascots in costumes, the company creates 3D data to produce full-color figures approximately 10cm or 15cm in height. The service is intended for retail displays, event promotion, and anniversary gifts.
